Highlights
April 6, 2008
The Presbyterys
Administrative Commission, which is serving as the Covenant
Church Session during our restructuring and calling of a new
pastor, met for the first time on April 1 at Covenant. Our
Interim Church Council met with them. Actions taken by
Session included the following:
Approved a
preliminary expense budget for April. A final expense budget
for May through December will be adopted at the May 6
Session Meeting following our Stewardship Campaign.
Approved the terms for the church mortgage extension.
Adopted Property Committee recommendations for building
security.
Approved payment of honorariums to all the supply pastors
serving our worship services until we have a full-time
pastor.
Authorized our Christian Education Committee to select and
approve materials used for education classes and Vacation
Bible School.
Established interim rules for weddings being planned for
June/July and authorized the updating of the Covenant
Wedding Guidelines Manual.
Authorized the development of a New Member Class for all
persons seeking membership in Covenant Church. The first
class is to be held within thirty days for new members to be
received by Session at the May 6 meeting.
