Presbyterian Women Circles

Circles are small groups of women who meet monthly, September through May, for Bible study, friendship, prayer, missions, community projects and fun!  Women of all ages are invited to join.  Circles are GREAT support groups, and the Bible studies are pertinent to our lives.  Day or evening Circles are available.  Childcare is provided for Mary Circle which meets the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 6:30 p.m.  Please RSVP for childcare by calling Dawn Castner at 334-8937.

This year's study is "The Beatitudes".  Study Guides are available for $10 in the church office.  Information on circle meeting times will be available soon.

Other activities sponsered by Presbyterian Women:

MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers)

MOPS is about

  • Celebrating motherhood.
  • Meeting needs.
  • Making connections.
  • Experiencing God's love....through relationships and resources.

Join our MOPS group!  We meet every 2nd and 4th Tuesday, 9:30 a.m. to noon.  MOPS is available to any mom with an infant through Kindergarten.  Nursery is provided.  Infants must be 3 months of age to stay in the nursery.  Join us anytime and enjoy new friendships, food, guest speakers, service projects, crafts and more!  There is a $5 cost per meeting and an annual $24 MOPS International fee.  Scholarships are available.  If you have any questions or would like to register, please contact the church office at 334-8937.

MOPS International exists to meet the needs of every mom: stay-at-home and working moms, single and married moms - moms with different lifestyles who all share a similar desire to be the very best moms they can be!

MOPS provides a caring atmosphere for today's mother of young children.  Our vision for Covenant MOPS is that we will be a community of mothers drawning near to each other and to Christ.

Other MOPS events to watch for throughtout the year are Mom's Night Out, playgroups, and the MOPS annual retreat.  Also, an added benefit to joining the MOPS group at Covenant is our Parents Day Out program available most Friday's from 9 a.m to 1 p.m.  (Our schedule follows the Lee County School schedule.)  Drop your children off and enjoy a morning off.  All you need to do is pack a lunch for your child and we will do the rest!

Prayer Shawl Ministry

If you have a family member or a friend who is in need of comfort and would like a prayer shawl, please call the church office at 334-8937 and the receptionist will forward your name and number to a member of the committee.  Arrangements will be made with you to receive a shawl that has been prayed over.

Our sincere thanks to all who have knitted and crocheted the beautiful shawls that have already brought heartfelt comfort to many, including those who are ill or hospitalized.   This ministry is open to everyone, especially to those who love toknit or crochet!  Members meet monthly but many work on the shawls at home and then turn them in to be prayed over at the monthly meeting.  If you wish to become involved, please contact the church office at 334-8937.

The Prayer Shawl Ministry meets at 10 a.m. on the third Tuesday of each month, Sept. through May.  Please join them in F-207!
